THEME
Nature in the City: Smart Connections for Sustainable Living

How can we improve wellbeing and quality of life by reconnecting nature and people in high-density urban environments?
Students are tasked with proposing innovative ways to integrate natural ecosystems into dense urban areas like Hong Kong, creating ecological hotspots that promote urban habitats, wildlife corridors, or vertical green spaces.
Proposals could leverage smart technologies such as biodiversity tracking apps, sensor-enabled habitats, or AR-driven nature education to transform public transit infrastructure like trams into biodiversity-friendly and sustainable platforms.
Think outside the box and explore a mutual gain between urban development and ecological conservation!
Students can create compelling proposals that not only showcase a wise use of STEAM knowledge but also encourage cities like Hong Kong to play an active role in meaningful community engagement with nature.
